Internal Medicine

Dr. Morgan Brown grew up in Northern California and attended UCLA, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. After working in film and TV production for a number of years, she went on to complete a postbaccalaureate pre-medical program. She obtained her veterinary degree from the University of Edinburgh, Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, graduating with honors in 2019. She also obtained a certificate in Veterinary Medical Education during her veterinary studies, and established an annual, international conference in Veterinary Medical Ethics. She won a University of Edinburgh Impact Award for her work in veterinary ethics and animal welfare education.

After veterinary school, Dr. Brown completed a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital in Colorado followed by a three-year residency in small animal internal medicine at Auburn University. She won the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine House Officer Teaching Award and continues to pursue her love of teaching by mentoring the CASE intern doctors, and educating her clients about their pets' diagnoses. Her professional interests include endocrinology, hematology, immune-mediated disease, feline medicine, veterinary education, and animal ethics and welfare. She obtained her board-certification in 2023 after publishing her research on the impact of trazodone administration on the canine hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis.

Outside of work, Dr. Brown enjoys hiking, cooking, putting on unsolicited musical performances, and watching television with her perfect cat, Winnie, and new puppy, Bruce!
