Dr. Karina Creighton grew up in Sydney, Australia, and attended the University of Melbourne where she graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2006. She returned to home to work at Gladesville Veterinary Hospital, a large general practice in the lower North Shore of Sydney. In 2009, she moved to North America and completed a rotating small animal internship at the Ontario Veterinary College in Canada, and then an emergency and critical care medicine residency at Michigan State University. She became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care in 2014.
Dr. Creighton worked as a critical care specialist at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in New Jersey, Ohio State University, and the Veterinary Specialist Center in Illinois. Throughout her career, Dr. Creighton developed a strong interest in extracorporeal therapy, and in 2021 she commenced a fellowship in nephrology, urology, and extracorporeal therapy at Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington DC.
Dr. Creighton joined CASE in 2023 to work with the extracorporeal therapy team and to establish a comprehensive nephrology and urology service.
