We’d like to introduce you to Aspen, one of our Pet Cancer Center at CASE’s Chemotherapy Graduates!
The entire Oncology team was honored to be a part of Aspen’s care. Here’s what Aspen’s parents had to say:
“Aspen was diagnosed with Lymphoma on 8/3/2021, and on that day our whole world changed. We were immediately referred to CASE and luckily, we were able to get in right away. Dr. Galloway and her team sat us down and went through all the different treatment options and outcomes. With all things considered, Aspen was a good candidate for chemo, so we chose to go with the CHOP protocol. This is a 19-week protocol, and our initial concern was how she would handle having to go back to the Vet every week. But within the first two appointments, Aspen began to feel better. The Oncology team at CASE were so incredible and Aspen would get excited when we would tell her we were going to get chemo. Her technicians quickly became part of the family. Aspen remained in remission for nearly a year and once her Lymphoma started to return, we sat down with the team to go through our options again. It was recommended we start a rescue protocol to get her back in remission. Each visit her team would check in with us to see how she had been feeling, as well as adjust the protocol as needed depending on her bloodwork. We are so thankful for CASE, and everything the oncology team has provided us. Because of CASE, we get to spend more time with our favorite girl, and we are included in her treatment plan every step of the way. Thank you, Dr. Galloway, Rachael, Crystal, and the rest of the oncology department for treating Aspen as if she was your own, for loving her and for helping us make these decisions. Cancer is so unfair. Aspen has been a warrior through it all, and we are so thankful for every day we have with her.
